This bookshelf is exactly what I was hoping for! It is cute, stable, and looks really good in our livingroom. As far as assembly I really appreciated that the manufacturer clearly labeled all the shelves, bags and even the parts inside some of the bags. It made keeping track of all the pieces and parts really easy. I initially started by following my intuition and just glanced at the instructions. When I found myself confused I stopped to read the instructions. They were super easy to follow, as long as you actually do step 2! Take the time to lay out all the pieces like the instructions tell you to and then thank me later! Once you have arranged all of the parts the assembly is very straighforward. It took me about 2 hours to complete but I was watching TV while I did it so it may go faster for you.They give you all the tools you need to complete the assembly. I used the included screwdriver because I was too lazy to get up and get a different one. If you have larger hands though I would recommend you grab a different screwdriver before you get started. I chose to put the “two ways of use” shelf at the top, as it gave me room to put my Bibles in the bottom cubby and sit our TV remote on top. Also I chose not to put the little whiteboard at the top of my bookshelf. I personally like the look of it without it, there was nothing wrong with it and it was included in my package.
